GET MY IDEAS FOR A PERFECT WEDDING DAY

What to consider for my BACKYARD WEDDING
Backyard Wedding

Your furry friends can be part of your big day! (Pets at my wedding)

We know how important it would be for you to include your dog, cat or any pet in your wedding, because many times there are many requirements for this to happen when planning a wedding in a private place, so a backyard wedding gives you the perfect excuse to include your pets in your big day! No need to authorize you with a spot or pay a deposit, your furry friend doesn’t need to stress about the trip and can head back inside when you’re done partying with your guests.

Save money in your wedding day

Save Money is important too when you’re planning your wedding
When you decide to have a backyard wedding, you automatically slash your wedding budget dramatically because you aren’t paying for a venue, security deposits or insurance, per-person fees, and all the other hidden charges that go along with it. You can also save money on decor since you’ll have the natural elements to add visual interest like the flowers which will be the background. Yes, you’ll likely need to rent almost everything else (chairs, tables, tent, lighting, dance floor), but those rentals will not outweigh the cost of a venue.

You have the flexibility to choose the most convenient date for your wedding or change it
Your wedding date is a point that you have to decide early on, it may seem like a small thing, but having complete freedom to choose the date that works best for you and your fiancé is actually a huge benefit of a backyard wedding. It’s especially helpful if you want to get married during peak wedding season when venues book up at least a year in advance.

This is the perfect excuse to invite only the Intimate family and friends
Most couples have trouble when they are trying to make their guest list, and this is because there are always so many people they want to invite, but that means inviting other people related to that single friend they want. But this is the perfect excuse to make an intimate list and enjoy your day with your loved ones. On the other hand, you have the freedom to invite all the people you want but I always recommend not to abuse this, try to keep your backyard with a breather and not suffocate people. Just keep in mind, really, you don’t need to feel guilty about your wedding guest list, no matter where you decide to tie the knot.

Your backyard wedding means a lot
Close your eyes and imagine saying “I do” in the backyard where you played as a child or getting ready in the room where you grew up. You won’t find this factor in another venue because it can’t be recreated. You and your guests will feel more comfortable in a space that feels like home. Also the pictures or albums that you can create will be such full emotive albums of photos, I’m sure you will make all your guests cry of happiness.

Logistics of Backyard Weddings

Power And Electrical of your house
You will use a lot more power that most homes can handle like lighting, the sound system (DJ), caterer stuff and many more things. I’m pretty sure you don’t want to put your neighborhood at risk and even less your guests, so you can rent generators to accommodate the extra power you’ll need. Always talk with the suppliers involved to find out how much energy and power they think they use.

Backyard wedding ideaRestrooms, can I use the bathroom at home?
Yes, you can always use the bathrooms of your house, but if your guest list is more than 20 people, you will need to provide additional bathrooms. There are so many luxury portable toilet trailer options that provide a comfortable experience, including lighting, mirrors, sinks, and most importantly, more space than traditional portable toilets.
If you want to personalize them and they won’t look like public restrooms, you can add a personal touch by adding a small amenity kit to each restroom with breath fresheners, band-aids, hand sanitizer, cotton balls, and safety pins.

Backyard plants
If you have many plants or flowers, try to keep them in good condition and make them part of the decoration, it will be less expensive to invest in your flowers. you will still have it anyway, then try to create a background or just cut it out. You can hire someone to help you style your backyard flowers in a way that makes them look professional.

Insurance
Of course you don’t want something bad to happen, but it’s better to be safe and prepared for everything, it’s a way to keep you and your guests safe. So contact your homeowners insurance and ask them what it includes and what happens if there is any damage. Also ask all the sellers for their insurance and read them to see what they will cover in case something happens.

Neighbors
A month before go to your neighbors house and give them a warm greeting and any present for them, explain them as much as possible about the itinerary of your wedding day, even you can give them a copy of this and offer any help if they want get out of the town for that weekend, remember we don’t want your neighbor call the police in the middle of your reception.

Backyard wedding idea 2Parking
This is really an important point to see. Check the rules for street parking in your neighborhood. Some places have certain hours when parking on the street is not allowed or even prohibit overnight parking. There is a solution, but you have to invest money in it. If that’s the case, or if you don’t have enough street parking, consider hiring a valet service to park the cars in a nearby open lot. Just be sure to let guests know ahead of time so they don’t leave valuables in their cars that you might be responsible for.

Clean-Up
Even when it comes to your house, you should think that a group of more than 20 people will produce a lot of garbage during the wedding day, so you will need to rent many garbage and recycling containers to collect everything or if you think you have enough of them try to cover them so they look good. Most of the time, the vendor can even handle emptying the bins for the day, so ask if that’s a service they offer. If not, you may want to designate or hire someone to monitor the bins so they don’t get too full and cause an unpleasant sight or smell.

Plan B
Weather happens and changes in 2 minutes, so it’s best to have a plan B in case it rains or gets hot or cold out of season. If your house is big enough, plan to move the party inside. Trust me, it’s better to keep all your guests safe and warm at home than to give them a hard time outside.
If you prefer to stay outdoors, reserve a tent early so it’s ready for pickup should you need it. When using the tent, make sure that the sides are completely covered to protect it from rain.
The hope is not to use plan B, but always have a plan B and C. Make sure everything works out.
